write-a-thon!

I'm loving this picture/poster for a write-a-thon I [will] attend in spirit. Good times!!

So, yeah. the night before last, I participated (or so I thought) in a write-a-thon that took (will take) place in like San Francisco, or somewhere nowhere near where I live. But it's a 5-6 hr sit-down writing session with a ton of people and you just churn out what ya can. No editing...just words.
I didn't mean to, but I wrote 2.5k of my NaNo project. I was planning on just figuring out the character a bit more, but she started talking, so I had to write. This book is first person present tense, so when she starts, I have to tag right along with her or I'll miss out.
I love the book. I love the MC. I'm wishing it was Nov 1st already because I don't want to cheat. I'm not sure if there is anything better than writing....

*I've edited this since I realized how, um, slow I am LOL
I get to enjoy this night twice. Once on Oct. 22nd and again on the real night. So yay for that!!

I know exactly what you mean about tagging along with the character. I also use first person and I love seeing where my character will take me or hearing what she has to say.

There is nothing like getting into that groove where you write and write and write and feel so good about what you've put on the paper!

Well obviously I can't read as well as I can write -- or maybe I just don't know what month comes when on the calendar.
This write-a-thon is NOVEMBER 22 (which I should have noticed since that's my mom's birthday :P)
So, maybe you can write for hours on end in spirit with me then!!! It'll be fun =) haha

the really sad thing is that it says NANOWRIMO really big at the top of the poster...
Why would there be a night full of writing in October Before NaNo starts???
Guess that's what I get for doing twelve-thousand things at once and having a job that doesn't really require a calendar... Whatever... =)

I do love that poster. :)

There really isn't much in the world that's better than writing. It's such a thrill. I just love hitting that groove and running with it.

I think the only thing keeping me from plowing forward with my NaNo project right now is my current WiP, which I'm scrambling to finish before Halloween.
